From the Montville Township website:

As a result of the heavy rains from Hurricane Irene, some local rivers and streams started to flood, closing some roads in our area.  If you are looking for information regarding road closings, the township will be regularly updating this website to make that information available.

The following status is as of 4:20 p.m. on Monday.

Currently, the only routes out of Montville to the south are Changebridge Road following the Gathering Rd / Konner Ave / Woodmont Rd detour and Route 287 South from Route 202

The following roads in town are closed:

• Church Lane near River Road
• River Road between Vreeland Ave and DPW Garage at 143 River
• Changebridge Road between Stiles Lane and Woodmont Road
• Hook Mountain Road
• Horseneck Road at Pine Brook Rd/Hook Mountain Rd intersection (local traffic only from Changebridge Road)
• Lancaster, Normandy and Sheffield Roads
• Buckingham Circle
• Walnut Drive, Parkway Drive, and Crescent Road
• Bloomfield Avenue into West Caldwell
• Horseneck Road into Fairfield
• Stiles Lane / Vail Road into Lake Hiawatha
• Pepper Road due to fallen tree
• Foremost Mountain Road between Pine Brook Road and Robert Road due to fallen tree
• Rockledge Road at 4 Rockledge due to fallen tree

Additionally, we have received reports of road closures at the following locations in neighboring towns:

• Pocono Road in Denville—St. Clare's Hospital is inaccessible
• Route 287 Northbound in Parsippany
• Route 46 in both directions between Baldwin and Beverwyck Roads in Parsippany
• Route 46 and New Road in Parsippany
