Montville PBA Annual Car Raffle

The Montville PBA is holding its third annual car raffle. This year's prize is a black 2010 Dodge Challenger. Tickets cost $20 and are available at the public safety building.

According to Capitan Ed Rosellini, the PBA's car raffles have so far been a success.

"It is a fundraiser for the PBA," he said. "It also gives us the ability to give back to the town."

Rosellini explained that the funds raised from the raffle will go towards the Montville PBA Local #140 Civic Association's death and retirement fund.

In the first year of the raffle, the PBA gave away a motorcycle, which was won by a woman in Montville, according to Rosellini. Two cars were given away the second year, one of which ended up going to a Towaco resident.

The drawing for the winner will be held on December 8, 2010, at the Montville fire department on 108 Main Road, Montville.

"We have the car for about six months, and the raffle goes off right around Christmas," Rosellini said. "So it makes a nice little Christmas present for whoever wins it."

The car is currently on display outside the public safety building on Route 202.

I never liked the cars they raffle, always fast, made for kids to get killed, why don't they get
maybe Hondas or Toyotas for some of the old people in town that need transportation not
speeding tickets.
