Lucille H. Deutsch, CALA, CMC, Director of Geriatric and Caregiver Outreach for Family Service of Morris County spoke at Family First HomeCare on Wednesday evening.   The turnout was incredible as people came to know more about how to have a Conversation with a loved one.

Lucille spoke about how our parents begin to
have difficulties with the routines of daily life, “The Conversation” becomes
unavoidable.  She gave informative tips on how to have
gathering needs that need to be done in advance and how
to initiate a dialogue with your parents in a non-threatening way. Also Lucy addressed fears and anxieties on all sides, she shared techniques to ensure that no
one feels demeaned or diminished, and gave guidance on how to work together with your parents to agree on a proactive plan.
